About Department
The Diploma in Engineering is a program focused on practical and skills-oriented training. It aims to provide students with industry or job-related engineering knowledge, scientific skills, computing and analysis, mathematical techniques, a sound knowledge of English to communicate in the field and ability to apply problem solving techniques. The duration of this course is 3 years after 10th class (Secondary School certificate) and 2 years (Lateral Entry) after 12th class (Senior Secondary School certificate) with PCM or 2yrs ITI Course. After successful completion of diploma in engineering course, students can either continue further engineering studies in undergraduate level or get employment as junior engineers, sub engineers, associate engineers, technicians, workshop technicians, CAD/CAM programmer etc. Engineering is applied form of basic science mainly Physics and Maths. We provide the following Discipline in this course:
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of Engineering. It is one of the core branches. Mechanical Engineering is the branch of Engineering that deals with design, manufacturing and operation of machinery. During the study, the student is exposed to various subjects of Mechanical Engineering such as material science, engineering drawing, theory of machines, kinematics of machines, thermodynamics, manufacturing, entrepreneurship, CADD (Computer Aided Design), etc.
Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams and buildings. During the study, the student is exposed to various subjects of Civil Engineering such as planning, drafting (both manual and computer-aided), surveying, estimation & costing, construction technology, basics of the highway, railway, and bridge engineering. the course also offers adequate exposure to reinforced concrete structures, quality control, material testing, construction management & entrepreneurship, professional practice and office procedures. Students also get a feel for an extensive survey, building drawing, irrigation & bridge drawing and structural engineering drawing. Students are also exposed to software like AUTOCAD etc.
